Do you believe it when I say it took me 40 minutes over the phone just to make a medical checkup appointment for 5 people. For the first 10 minutes I was being put on hold by the answering machine and when finally I get the operator I have to painstakingly give spell all my details like date of birth, nationaliy, name, address etc. And the person over the phone types so slowly...I know coz she spell out the alphabet one by one as I hear her keyboard clicking away. Then when it was down to the last person's particulars, her computer has to hang!!! Then it is more waiting and waiting. I was at the international office for so long using their phone (luckily I wasn't using my hp else you imagine the bill) that a person there asked if she can help and indeed she was a big help. She told us that we actually do not need to go for this medical check-up as we had done one before coming over! I told this to the operator over the phone and she insisted that by the law here we have to take the x-ray here. The person at the int'l office took and and blah blah blah (in Norwegian language) and ta-dah no need to go for check up. FAINT.
