First 2 Days

The place where I'm staying.

The bunch of us trying to figure out how to buy a ticket from the machine. Trying very hard to decipher the language and being tired after flying for so many hours certainly doesn't aid in the brain processing ability.

Meanwhile we discovered that the newspaper costs approx. SD 2.50!! And it is the Newpaper size, not Straits Times.

Taking the first train ride of my life. But soon I discovered I'm pretty sick of trains.

My room.

That door there is the main door of this unit. 2 of us share 1 unit consisting of 2 rooms and 1 toilet.

Our cupboards are not in our room. Weird. Anyway we decided to live out of our suitcase as the cupboard looks disgusting.

The very ancient lift. There is no open/close button.

You have to manually open and close the lift door before it will move. There were a few times where we forgot and stupidly stand there waiting for the lift door to open automatically. -_-"

The main door to my unit. The door here are super heavy and different. You twist clockwise not to lock but rather to unlock.

We discovered the singapore equivalent of Toto in the supermart in the hostel area.

That block behind is where we live. Leaving for the foreign police station to register ourselves.

Once more the view. The sky seems more blue here and the grass more green.
