I'll be doing a rojak post as there is quite a number of things I want to blog about.
Just got back from the Sculpture park where we had our mini picnic. The park is big and there are alot of people sun-bathing in their bikinis. The sun wasn't that strong though....we've never perspired since the day we reached. Nice weather and all. I also realized that people here are very quiet. There were alot of people in the park BUT you don't get a "fish market situation" like in East Coast park. We dare not talk too loudly incase we disrupted the tranquility. There are lush greenery everywhere and with water features...it created a calming and relax environment. I seriously wouldn't mind sitting down at the park for several hours people-watching or reading a book when once in a while. It is the perfect setting for a weekend getaway but definitly not for everyday living, especially not me. I'll be bored to death. Maybe if I've my family and own home then it might be different.
Speaking of home. I think home is still where Singapore is. Though I'm comfortable here I never felt like I belonged here. There are so much that I don't know and understand and will always feel as second-class citizen. I always hope to have the opportunity to live abroad and I still have to be able to travel for work or work abroad but I guess ultimately I'll return to Singapore as that is where I belong. The place where I can understand and be fully understood.
But for now it is quite nice living here (minus the high living standards and boredoom). There is no stress here. Everything is nice and slow... maybe the stress is from 'peng san-ing' at their slowness..
There are alot of dogs lover here. You see all sorts of dog, big, small, fat, skinny, black, white, brown. All of them are damn cute and don't look intimidating BUT I'm still scared of them. lolz. Apparently the dogs here like to leash themselves...coz they always bite onto their own leash while walking in the park. So funny.
The sun still rise as early as 5am here and sets as late as 10pm. I'm getting used to it and doesn't wake up until around 8+am. But sometimes we will forget to eat our dinner and to sleep coz it is still so bright out there! We end up eating dinner like at 9/10pm! So fattening.
