It is 11.15pm (5.15am Singapore Time) and guess what, I just did my laundry. By hand no less. My idea of washing clothes has always been to dump my clothes into the washing machine, put in washing powder, on the maching and that's it. That was what I did back in hall. But when it costs 12NOK (SGD3) each time you use the washing machine, it is a different story. I "lovingly" hand washed my clothes. It was damn irritating coz I only have a basin and shower in the toilet. No hose or low tap. It was so difficult to fill the pail with water than I end up washing the clothes in then sink one piece at a time. I spent 30 minutes washing 3 pieces. Talk about efficiency.
In year 1, I stayed in hall but I always bring home my clothes during the weekend for my mum to wash. In my second year I decided to be good and wash my clothes using the washing machine in hall. 3 pieces only? No problem, the machine does the job. 10 pcs? No problem either. And to think now I have to hand wash my clothes. I think this is karma. -_-" Luckily I won't have much clothes to wash as the weather is cold.. getting colder. I'll be lucky not to freeze to death much less perspire. So there is no need to change that much clothes as in Singapore. You can even not bathe that often. I heard that people bathe once a week during winter.. ewww. I showered once everyday, using the hot water. I'll die just washing my hands so I guess I'll go in as a human and come out as a block of ice if there is no hot water.
