Barcelona Photos

A quick shot before rushing to check-in at Torp Airport. 1.5 hrs away from Oslo. The bus ride there costs 150Nok! -_-"

Sagrada Familia. It started construction in 1880s and is expected to be completed only around 80 years from now.

Outside the bull ring where Spanish bull fights used to take place. Its no longer in use though.

Another arc. Different from the one in Paris.

@ Parc De La Ciutadella

Port Olympic. Look at the amount of sailing boats!

My legs taking a much needed rest before procedding to one of the beaches.

My favourite shot. I waited for the bird to fly into view before snapping. =)

Lots of stone seats for people to relax, read and basically enjoy the breeze and tranquaility.

One of Antoni Gaudi's designs.

Night view of Barcelona. Its still buzzling everywhere at 8pm!

Our shopping bags! I only bought 1 pants and 2 tops though.

Port Barcelona. This bridge will bring us to the shopping centre at the other end.

One section of the bridge will open up when sailing boats with high masts wants to sail in/out. I took a video of it. Its pretty cool!~

The shopping centre.

Spot us?
Reflection of the sea.

I wanted to get those blue earrings but it costs 5.50euro per pair! =(

In the washroom. Glass windows facing the sea!

With my happpy star ice-cream seconds before disaster strikes.

And so now at least you know who is BR1.

In one of the many alleys in the shopping area.

Their ice-cream cones are so yummy. Very crispy and light. Cost 1.90 euro though.

Chocolate Museum. Did you know that soldiers there were given chocolates as meals in their olden days? And only the elites will get tons n tons of chocolates, much to the envy of other soldiers.

Outside the much raved about Sant Joseph market by the receptionist of our hostel. We went in only to get out after getting a packet of mixed fruits. Why? Coz it is essentially the wet market in Singapore! The one where our parents loves to do their marketing but we hate coz it smells bad! -_-" Only these ang-mohs will be fascinated by this kind of market.

There is something like a dog festival going on and dogs of all shapes and sizes are everywhere.

The dog that looks more like a baby horse. See the 'white mane'? Even its tail look more like a horse tail. The proud owner stopped to let us take a photo of it.

The dog that have long fringe. Wonder if it can see.

So huge. More like a bear than a dog.

The art musuem.

View of Barcelona.

Our tapas. Codfish with sauce, Mushrooms, Baby octopus.

Me with my Paella Mixta (mixed paella) which has squid, spareribs, chicken, peas in it. It is a tad too oily and salty for my liking but its our tradition to have 1 good meal at each country we visit, to try their local food. This meal is cheaper than our Paris dinner.

We happen to bump into the La Merce festival that is going on in Barcelona till end of September. There are stages set up all over the main shopping area and there are concerts. woots! Nice singing, lots of street performances, making the entire street very lively and in a merry mood.

@ the magical fountain. Basically it is like the musical fountain in Sentosa.

On the last day, we climbed this steep slope to visit Park Guell. It was a torturous climb that leave my back aching.

This is called grafitti - an art. The ones back home are called vandalism. lol.

View of Barcelona from the top.

Inside Park Guell.

The house Antoni Gaudi lived in from 1906 - 1926. It contains works by Gaudi. This place was declared a historical-artisitc monument of national interest in 1969.

The Sants train station where we missed our train to the Girona Railway station, and from there we need to catch a bus to the airport.
