Happy Mid-Autumn to all! The day is over in Singapore but for the people here, it will begin in awhile after dinner. We plan to wrapped ourselves up warmly and then parade to the nearby lake with our lanterns and mooncakes! Our professors who came to visit us last week brought them over for us. Each and everyone gets a lotus paste with yolk mooncake. I really don't fancy this type of traditional mooncakes or for the matter any mooncakes. I don't usually celebrate it back home either.
So I was quite lost for words when my prc classmates asked me how am I going to spend this day. For them they will gather and have mooncakes, drink tea and shang(3) yue(4), solve riddles etc. I guess though we are also Chinese but Singapore doesn't really celebrate the traditional way. It is more of just another festival.
Oh and I get pretty anal when people thinks that this festival is called 'Lantern Festival or Mooncake Festival'. Its Mid-Autumn Festival for goodness sake.
