I'm back from my 8 days Pisa-Venice-Florence-Rome-Brussels holiday earlier this afternoon. It feels so good to be back home. Yes, my home in Oslo. Life on the road is no fun, especially when there are time and money constraint. Or maybe I've done too much travelling for the past 2.5 months. It was a mad rush and heart-attack inducing moment whenever we had a train to catch to the next city or a plan to catch. Mind you, the airport is not like in Singapore, 30 minutes away. It can be a 2 hour bus/train ride and having no idea how to get to the airport/train station and having to rely on guidance from locals who can't really speak English is no joke!! It certainly doesn't help that budget airports usually are located in another town and we had to take other means of transport to get to our eventual destination. But at the end of the day, I'm glad to say we survived all our adventures.

Now back to reality. I have got a pile of clothes waiting to be washed (hand-washed!) and a room that needs to be swept and mopped and also to get myself rested and ready for lessons again on Monday. I've got to start researching for my term paper too. omg. All good things have to come to an end don't they? Updates on my Italy/Belgium trip will have to wait as it will be a looooong post. But in all, I can say that I and We all love Brussels. Everything is right. The first impressions are good! So good that we are considering returning there at the end of the year again. (But we decided not to as it might ruin the good first-time exprience. Somethings can only be done once.) I would want to visit Belgium again but not so soon.

The weather is freaking cold. I wonder has it been like that for the whole week that I've been away or is it only today. I turned my heater to the max (30 degrees) yet my room is freezing.. Pooh's room is worse coz her window cannot close tightly and wind kept coming in. I had to close my door to prevent the cold wind from travelling to my side.. haha! And btw, the sun sets at 6+pm now.. when it used to set only around 8pm 2 weeks ago.
