Of twisted tongue and brain

" . . . and the acts of every partner who does any act for carrying on in the usual way business of the kind carried on by the firm of which the partner is a member bind the firm and the other partners, unless the partner so doing has in fact no authority to act for the firm in the particular matter, and the person with whom the partner is dealing either knows that the partner has no authority, or does not know or believe the partner to be a partner."

"Every partner is liable jointly with the partner's co-partners, and also severally, for everything for which the firm, while the partner is a partner of it, becomes liable . . ."

Try reading these kind of sentences for the entire afternoon and making them make sense... how can the tongue and brain not get twisted like this? I read and re-read one sentence at least a good 5 times before it makes sense and before I can finish rattling it off without huffing and puffing for breathe. And no this is not for the law module yet. Wait till I get to the law.. I think I'll get even more twisted. Pray I don't dream of partners jumping out at me in my dreams. *shudders*
