The sun is just rising before my eyes. Shades of purple, yellow, orange and red blended together to give a soft warm glow. Pretty. I often get to see sunsets too for the sun rises around 8.30am now and sets around 3.30pm. The sun, blue sky, fluffy clouds, sparkling blue sea are really what I'm going to miss most when I leave this place.

How often do you get to see all this back home? With all the high rise buildings, it blocks out everything and even if it doesn't get blocked, how many of us actually notice them? I will admit that I'm always scurrying here and there back home and I'm sure this kinda life will resume once I get back. So gotta enjoy the sights here while it lasts.

Just took a look at the temperature widget on my desktop and it reads -8 degrees. Blinked my eyes and look again, yes its indeed is. And then my nose sneeze almost immediately after my brain confirms it is -8 degrees. Talk about sensitive nose.

A bunch of us went to the Sognsvanne Lake near by for a walk yesterday afternoon and boy did we have fun. The ice-skating ring near it is already frozen and there are people doing ice-hockey! Small kids too... a small kid looks so pro while practising and us? We goof around by trying to slide ourselves across the ice while in our boots. There were heaps of frozen ice, presumly from the snow the other day and we start a snow ice fight! Then its to the frozen lake. It is really frozen! Orange and I managed to get the lightest girl (not me!) to stand on the ice while holding her for the rest of us are...erm "too light" for the not-so-thick layer of ice.

Pooh and I had red, swollen fingers when we got back coz we didn't remember to wear our gloves and it was sooooo damn cold at the lake. We were still wondering if our fingers are indeed frozen and I concluded it is for I'm wearing my ring and its so obvious. Had to wait for a good few hours before the fingers get back to normal.
